This policy explains how Orvio processes personal data on this website and through the Orvio platform, in line with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

2. Data We Collect
On this public website we collect only what is needed to run the site and, with your consent, to understand how it is used:
- Contact details you submit (name, email, company) when you request a demo or contact us
- Technical data (IP address, device and browser information) processed when you load the site
- Website-usage data from analytics tools, collected only after you consent (see section 5)
Customers of the Orvio platform: additional data (account credentials and the metered energy data you upload) is processed under the agreement with your organisation, not via this website.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Responding to demo requests and enquiries (basis: your request and pre-contractual steps)
- Operating, securing and improving the website (basis: our legitimate interest)
- Measuring website use and reaching business contacts where you have consented (basis: consent)
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations
4. Recipients
We share personal data only with providers that process it on our behalf, or where required by law:
- Supabase and our hosting providers (database, edge functions, website delivery)
- Google (Google Analytics) and Apollo.io, only after your consent - see section 5
- Professional advisors and authorities, where legally required
5. Cookies, Analytics and Tracking
This website loads analytics and tracking technologies only after you accept them in the cookie banner. Nothing loads before your consent (Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and ad storage denied), and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser. With your consent we use:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) - aggregate website analytics such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Apollo.io (Apollo Data, Inc.) - a business-visitor tool that may identify or enrich company information about visitors for our sales outreach.
6. International Data Transfers
Google and Apollo.io are operated by providers in the United States, so accepting analytics may transfer personal data to the USA. These transfers rely on the applicable adequacy framework (Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) and/or EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The USA may not provide a level of data protection equivalent to Switzerland or the EU.
7. Your Rights
Subject to the applicable law (revFADP and, where relevant, the GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or your local supervisory authority
8. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
9. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Demo and contact requests are retained while we follow up and for a reasonable period thereafter; analytics data is kept according to the analytics tool's configured retention period.
